Cookie dough overload

Question: What can a kindergarten teacher do to top a field trip to Pizza hut?

Answer: Bring the kids back to her house to make chocolate chip cookies and watch TV!!!!

Our school is desperately in need of cash, so we planned a cookie dough fundraiser. Last week we got to work mixing and rolling cookie dough, then we froze the balls and sold them.

I got to be the guinea pig and go first with my kindergarten kids. We mixed enough cookie dough for 520 cookies, and we rolled 372 of them. That’s right, five small children and I did that together in one morning! I’m so grateful I shipped my Bosch here!

In between, when the dough was mixing, we watched the read-a-long DVD of the traditional tales that we have been studying in class the last couple of months. Awesome. One of the kindergarten kids said that it was the best day of his life!

I also helped out twice more last week with a cookie dough production line putting stickers on tubs, filling the tubs, and then again baking cookies on the last day. We sold over 4000 cookies and made over $1900. Not bad for amateurs…
